AMS is a B-----

This is an excerpt from my Excel spread sheet covering ONE of my B-17 projects.

1/48     Kit       Monogram       B-17G Flying Fortress

Acc      Aires                Browning M2 .50 Cal Waist Guns

            Acc      Koster              Cheyenne Tail Conversion

            Acc      Monogram       Clear Fuselage Side

            Acc      Paragon            Crew Access Doors

            Acc      Paragon            Open Bomb Bay

            Acc      Paragon            B-17 Flap Set

            Acc      True Details      B-17G-E Wheels

Acc      True Details      B-17G Bombardier Set

Acc      True Details      B-17G Cockpit Set

Acc      True Details      B-17G Waist Gunner Detail Set

Acc      Xtra Parts         B-17 Prop. Gov. & Intake Set

Decals  Superscale        B-17F-G Bobby Sox (with custom nose art)

            Book    Squadron         B-17 Walk Around

So far I have $177 tied up in that list and I still need to do something about the radio room and am considering some Verlinden stuff. If you think that is bad consider that there are four more B-17 packages in the stash very similar to this one. I'm sure Hippy Ed understands since it's his fault that I bought all those TD sets -- my credit card company thanks you Ed.

Matt,

It's even worse when you realize you probably didn't spend $177 on all five kits put together! Laugh [(-D]

So long folks!

And I felt extravagant when I spent $20 for PE for a $10 kit.  What a rube I am.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] only mine was $20 for a $50 kit Disapprove [V] Well, I guess we can look at it like this, I know a person who sinks thousands of dollars in his car every year to make it faster, and it has almost 160,000 miles on it, and it doesn't go any faster... what I'm saying is this is definetly the lesser of two evils Big Smile [:D]

yeah, I guess it's like I always told my Mom about my comic book habit as a kid:  "At least I'm not spending it on drugs."
