I was at my favorite LHS the other day when one of the guys that works there and who knows me pretty well asked me to check out some new AM kit he had just bought in from overseas. They turned out to be a packet of Ultracast Spitfire seats and stupid me thought cool, this will save me the trouble of ordering them when I need them. How much says I, to which he replies oh these aren't for sale these are going off to my caster ![Angry [:(!]](/FSM/CS/emoticons/icon_smile_angry.gif)

. I told him straight up that I didn't believe in re-casting and that Ultracast was one of my favorite manufacturers.
To make matters worse this guys calls me over a couple of weeks later and asks me to view his counterfeit Spitfire seats, well there is some justice because the quality was c![Censored [censored]](/FSM/CS/emoticons/icon_smile_censored.gif)
p. But despite my initial icy reaction to his venture he still tried to sell me some of his junk at about half the price I can pick up the genuine Ultracast items.
Personally I will now never touch any of the AM resin stuff that this guy produces because I have no idea if it's his own work or that of somebody else. I would rather pay the premium and buy the original than a cheap knock-off, but I over reacting, am I alone in my views? Somebody must buy this trash or it wouldn't be produced in the first place.
