I don't know about anything on this site, but I think the Testors website has a multiipart series of printable pdf's about various modeling topics

Here is the link:  http://www.testors.com/hobbyist_guides.asp

It may be alittle more advanced than he is looking for, but thee is a lot of good info in it that is easily printed.  I printed off a copy for my own personal reference binder.

I have a friend who is just getting back into modeling. He has been out for a long while.  There use to be on this website a small 3 to 4 page booklet giving newbies an idea on how to start.  For instance, cleaning plastic first, types of glues, etc.  Since the new upgrade, does anybody know if that is here or if it has been removed?  I remember it was here a couple of years ago and it was a quick print out.  He could really use a copy of that.

Thanks, -Scott
