Does anyone can tell me the scale model shop in London?
Posted by fitz on Saturday, May 20, 2006 1:48 AM

Hi dear modelers! Now, I'm in London now.

And I want to buy some scale model in here, os I want to go to scale model shop.

But I don't know where it is! :(    I have some frineds in London, but there aer not interested in modeling. So they don't know where the shop is.

Plz, if you know the scale model shop, teach me. I need your help!

The speed of buying is faster than making.

Hi, Fitz,

London is surprisingly poorly served by model shops. There is a branch of Hannants in Collindale, near the RAF Museum, just by the Underground station, though this is moving to a nearby industrial estate at the end of May 2006.

There is also a branch of Modelzone in High Holborn, near Holborn Underground station, and about 100 yards to the east of the junction of High Holborn and Kingsway. This used to be my LHS when I was a student, these thirty years ago...

That's about it until you get to the outer suburbs, where there are more branches of Modelzone, and a number of toy shops with decent-ish model selections, but none that are worth the journey from central London.

Cheers,

Chris.
