I used to work near NAS Mira Mar in California back when the Top Gun scool was still their.
We used to see A4's like the one in your photo all the time.
We could always tell when they were at the end of the cycle.
All the student aircraft(F-14's) would fly out in pairs..
About a half hour later we would see all the instructer aircraft scamble out in one large pack of A-4's and F-5's.
It would blow your mind to see nine or so fighters at full throttle around 500 feet go ripping over the town.

Sorry for the rant.
Your photo jarred some good memories!

Leetree, your kids have the same problem mine have; they just don't understand sacrifice. You just can't expect to eat every day, 3 times a day. Do you know what that does to a septic system? They don't just pump themselves, you know.................teach them DISCIPLINE and SACRIFICE and they will thank you someday.

Now go out and buy that 1/32 F/A-18........................

HEY,
Its not the younger generation, because i am part of that younger generation. If they dont like to build models, make them do it for a punishment, they will LEARN to love it.

Lee it's your kids not you. You know how this younger generation is now days!! Big Smile [:D] Wink [;)]

Just tell them to chop the firewood when they're done with the driveway, then have them get to painting the house and tell them they'll get fed again when they've done a little work for it!! Big Smile [:D] Tongue [:P]

Can't fritter away my paycheck (worse luck) - my bloody kids insist I keep buying food and things like that.
"I'm hungry, dad" they whine.
"Cripes, I fed you yesterday!! What more do want from me? Shut up and keep scrubbing the driveway!"
Regrettably, they don't share my passion for (in their words) transferring tiny spots of paint onto tiny bits of plastic. They just have no idea.
Are they strange, or is it us?
Something to think on...................
Cheers,
LeeTree

Sounds like a pretty good haul, Max. Looks like all of the necessities are covered. Just save some kits for the rest of us. Good luck with the kits, and keep the snakes an inch or two out of kicking distance.

I spent my paycheck on 2 Hasegawa A-4s, a Cutting Edge conversion kit, ordered a second conversion kit, some paint, thinner, gap filling super glue and a pack of sharp exacto blades; I'm now off to SQUANDER THE REST.
