Hi,

I dont know very well where to put this, so if this isnt the place feel free to move it; like i said in my introduction post i really dont know much about modeling even tho i like to do it. So im trying to get some bases here so i can actually understand what people talk about :D

So im wondering any books or links ? Im gonna subscribe to FSM but im looking for more stuff and dont know people here who like to do modeling in my area. Suggestions anyone ?

Thanks in advance.

Take Care

Mike,

We talk about ALL sorts of stuff! There are how to links scattered here and there throughout the forums. Check out specific topics in the forum section. There are various article here about many different things, some specific to a particular model, some pretty generic.

You may have to be a subscriber, or at least have the current code. If you don't have either PM or Email me and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

There are literally hundreds of reference books out there, some out of print, some available at the local library. Google various topics as well, there is a surprising amount available on the web.

So long folks!

Books Squadron/Signal In Action and Walk Around series are very usefull as are Bert Kinzey In Detail series.  All 3 focus on 1 aircraft and the common versions that were made or field modified.  The In Action books have lots of photo's of general photos of the aircraft on ground, in air and being repaired.  The Walk Arounds focus more on close up photos like landing gear bays and the cockpit, along with some general photos as well. The In Detail is a combination of the other 2 with a modelers section in the back that list the various kits out at the time of printing.  Their are a ton more out but these are just examples off the top of my head and are a easy way to build your library.

I'd recommend some of the stuff printed by Kalmbach (blatant plug. . .still looking for any unclaimed prize packages. . .)
and a series of books by Osprey.
Kalmbach offers some good general how to books and Osprey has some like 'building a tiger tank in 1/72nd scale', 'German fighter aircraft of WWII'.
As always, everyone here will give you any help you need, just ask!
