custom dry transfers
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, August 17, 2003 3:32 PM
Does anyone know where I can have custom dry transfers made for aircraft models?

Thanks,

I seem to recall a place in Florida that did them, but they were quite pricey. You may just try the old Google for a search.

They are decals that you don't apply after soaking in water...instead-- you hold the decal up to the model surface-- use a pencil to rub over the decal and the decal is applied from the paper....Archer makes some great ones for armor-- maybe planes too?

Archer used to make some groovy stuff for aircraft. Then there was a division of Archer called White Dog decals and they made some kick-a** nose art. (semi-regular decals) But they've pretty much disappeared.
