How is that store? Obviously you like it as you shop there! But can you fill in a bit about selection and price? I drive by route 1/9 often enough that it should be 5-10 minute detour?

I think the store has a decent selection.  Plenty of kits to choose from, tons of tools, about a dozen bins of decals in various nationalities and scales.  A nice selection of resin and PE stuff… Aries, Eduard, etc.  Some Moskit pipes, although I don’t think they are being replenished.  MM and Humbrol enamels.  Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics.  And they can usually order stuff.

Pricing is not full retail but not as good as online, but I prefer to support he local guy.  He is the one that’s there when I run out of RLM WHATEVER when I am in the middle of mottling and need to run out for 1 jar of paint.

I think I even heard there are tanks, ships and car models there tooWink [;)]

wing_nut...I finally got to Avanel. This was my first visit. It looks to be a great store. I picked up an Academy 1/48 P-40C.

I loved how well organized the model kits were. (A/C into Helicopters, and manufacturer, cars by auto company). They have the best selection of anyone I have found in our area.

Thanks for recomending it. Smile [:)]
