Attn: Any Members With Knowledge of What Gift to Give My Japanese Friend...

Hello everyone! I just received a parcel from Japan from a friend who makes 1/144 garage kits. It was a Me-323 Gigant. He included in the parcel 2 extra gifts (custom decals and a 1/144 LAV). I have to send him an international money order for the Gigant and the postage, but was wondering if there was something we in North America have in the way of modelling that is rare or just plain costs too much in Japan that I could send him? Any thoughts?

Thanks for any reply,

Ken Kolenovsky (Trafford Warren)

Hey, was that guy Ozawa-san, of Kami de Koro Koro? He's a good buddy of mine from Osaka, and makes great 1/144 stuff. Ozawa-san's 1/144 Gigant was a papercraft kit, as I recall. Is that what you got? His resin stuff is great!

Anyway, as I mentioned in may email to you, Future floor polish or anything like it is unavailable here in Japan.

If we're talking about Ozawa-san, however, I'm not sure he has a need for Future. A nice X-Acto set might be cool...X-Acto is rare and expensive here.

Hope that helps!

I sent my friend an X-Acto 2000, 5 No. 11 blades, and an assortment of other blades. Hope he likes them!
