Wish me luck!

Well, wish me luck because i'll need it.

Below is a picture of a "stalled" 1/350 arizona model, the white stuff is masking film.

I have never used this much befor, my hope is that i'll simply be able to cut away the parts covering what i want to paint leaving a protective coating around it. I need a protective coating because due to a bad mixing experment (annoying story) i no longer have this color paint, and doubt i can reproduce it perfectly. Having to be so carefull, and going so slow, not to mention all the bending over finally got to me so i had abandoned this project untill i rembered the masking film.

Either this will restart the kit and i'll have it done in 3 weeks (not the only project on the go) or it becomes target pratice.

well, it failed.

I ran into a new problem. On flat or pritty flat surfaces it workes great, on 3d objects it tends to pull away from any indentations, on inside of round curves it rips. I discovered that it also visably lightens acrylic paint.

Close but not quite, the brand is "MiniHobbyModels" (no space). I've been told that its a cheap knock off of the trumpater kit.

It was also very cheap, that is why i'm simply cutting my losses.

I'm awaiting my ship to come in... it's the Banner/ Trumpeter kit. Seems there's plenty of reviews of this & builds up fairly nicely. other than the KingfischerSad [:(]
