Roll models speed of response.
Posted by Yann Solo on Monday, September 25, 2006 2:05 PM

I just ordered a PE detail set at Rollmodels.com and once I've check out, they said it takes usually between two and three weeks to proceed the order and have the item shipped to me.(should read shipped not delivered)

Is it me or this is really bad processing of an order?  I use to order stuff from luckymodel.com and they usually ship it within 2 days.  What's wrong?

No matter where you go ....... there you are.

I can say that the 2-3 weeks will probably include the shipping time from Minnesota to Canada.  Just my guess personally, but I can tell you that as someone who deals daily with large industrial suppliers, shipping time varies from company to company.  If the item you ordered was in stock, then chances are it's not going to take the 2-3 weeks to PROCESS the order, but process/ship/receive the order.

Hopefully this helps out some.

Ah OK!  They just don't take any chances and tells everybody it will take 3 weeks.  So if I get it within two weeks I'll be a happy customer.

I get it!

I think it took me a week and day or two to get mine. It was pretty fast.

Yann,

Did you ever have any trouble with stuff from Luckymodel getting stuck at customs?

Only once, and it stayed there for two days if I remember.  So it wasn't that bad.  Are you in that situation?

Not yet.  I ordered from Luckymodel on Sunday, and it shipped today.  With any luck it will breeze through customs and I'll have it by the end of next week.  I'll let you know.
