Operation Merry Christmas - Hurricane Area
Posted by Big Jake on Friday, October 6, 2006 9:33 PM

Hi Folks,

I'm writing to ask a favor. We're raising money and supplies for out local Operation Merry Christmas (OMC) program to be held 2 weeks before Christmas. I was wondering if anyone on the board would care to send a TOY to me so I can forward them to our group. I would rather a TOY than money, but any Checks sent will be deposited into the parish program to buy toys. Ages are from 3 years to 12-13 year old type stuff. What ever you feel like sending. We did not hold a OMC last year because of damage to the town hall and there were not many kids back in out town yet. People still have it hard as not many had insurance, so the extra money is mostly going for home repairs type things. This would be a great way to get kids in the modeling hobby also! My mailing adress at home is:

Jake Groby III
29354 Lyon Ln.
Lacombe, LA. 70445
(985) 882-9100

My mailing address at the water plant is:

C/O Jake Groby
St. Bernard Parish Water & Sewer Division
1111 E. St. Bernard Hwy.
Chalmette, LA. 70043
(504) 271-1681 x 234

Anything you feel like sending would be Ok, A new toy is needed in the carton they come in so we can wrap them.

Thanks Folks,
Jake Groby

Thanks

The work address will be OK. during delivery hours some one is always in the front office.  At hte house sometime they don't leave packages.

Thanks you very much. If you can spread the word to other forum members I'd be much abliged.

Thanks Jake!

I'll do what I can to spread the word, bumping this topic to the active list is one way. Wink [;)]

I can't afford to send much down, but I'll make sure there is one for a boy and one for a girl, and I'll wrap them up in Christmas wrap first in such a way that you'll be able to tell them apart.

So long folks!
