Posted by Anonymous on Friday, October 13, 2006 4:12 AM

I know its still a little while off (not really, this years gone by so quick!) I was just wondering what kits and supplies and what nots everyone wants this Christmas. Heres mine, I only expect 2 of the kits at the most. lol, It was alot longer, but I decided I would have to cut it down some.Smile [:)]

Models

AFV Club 1/35 Royal Australian Armoured Corps Mk5/1 Centurion (Vietnam version)

Academy MRC 1/48 CH-46 Sea Knight (Marines ‘Bullfrog’ version)

Tamiya 1/35 M26 Armoured Recovery Vehicle (NOT the M25 ‘Dragon Wagon’

Tamiya 1/48 T34/76, with the Verlinden Productions complete interior set

Supplies

Earth Tone pastels set + a couple of greys, a white, and if not included in set a black.

0.25 to 0.75mm Sheet Styrene

So what do you guys want?

I'd suggest thinking about the Hobby Boss kit. It comes with a complete interior in the box, and at about $22 - $24 ($Aus) it's way cheaper than the basic Tamiya kit (mid $30 range).

See the review here: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/48/hobbyboss/hb84806-8.htm

It's essentially a "scale down" of the Trumpeter 1/16th scale kit

I'm really hoping for some red Chucks and a new leopard skin Speed-O to replace my other one that was destroyed in an unfortunate unicycle accident.

Maybe some socks, too.

Oh yeah and a bunch of models.

And some chocolate and some sausage and cheese in one of those big sampler boxes.

And some models.

Maybe a new lunchbox with a thermos.

And some models too.

Did I mention models?

Oh yeah......

Joy for all! :-D

Thanks for helping my modeling budget.... now I don't have to spend money on breakfast.  I have just lost my appetite.  My therapist is still working me through the Rick Springfield/Bluebeard picture.

For Xmas:

More time with family and at the bench

More shelf space

A model with wings

The FenderBender by Ted Herman and found at Ausfwerks.

While I don't actually own one, I have read nothing but praise for it. From what I've seen available it is by far the best available.

And note that I have no affiliation with Ausfwerks other than being forum buddies with Ted and Jeff, and receive zero compensation other than the satisfaction of promoting their wares.

So long folks!

Maybe just some assessories like Archer transfers and some PE. Really no need for any kits right now. Books are always good.

Hmmm  Im gonna have to say the Tamiya 1/35 Churchill with or without the "crocodile" trailer.  Also the 1/35 Tamiya m20 armoured utility car.  Or anything 1/35 for my just started Omaha diorama.  Oh and also any book my parents can find about terrain/diorama/wargame scenery making, it always fascinates me, and I like making the diorama more than the kit anyways. Or any 1/35 model.  Or any model.

My new Line Chronic 143cm Twin Tip skiis used to be at the top of the list, until yesterday when my parents finally realized that if they gave them to me at Christmas, half the season would already be gone, so I got them early!!Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Its good having a hobby your parents aprove of like modeling and skiing.  I used to have a hard time explaining to my mom that the $50 she gave me last week was spent on a new video game.....Whistling [:-^]

I really want one of those new Eduard Fw190's.  Too bad I have this thing about paying full MSRP on models....

That's where Xmas presents come in....

What I would really like is about two months off work to build models and play with my kids (and snuggle with the wifeWink [;)] - oops, that's how I ended up with all those kids in the first placeBlush [:I]).  Think my boss would go for that???Sad [:(]  My stash exploded this year thanks to a generous donation by my best friend so kits are not really an issue but I still really want the Revell HCMS Snowberry.  Someday... Sigh [sigh]!  Ooo... and the Special Hobby pioggio P-108.  Ooo... and... it never ends!!!

Books are always good! Smile [:)]

I'd like my home renovations completed and modeling area reassembled too!

As for Jennifer Aniston... no comment (my wife may be watching Black Eye [B)])!

May all your dreams come true.

Generally, I don't ask for model stuff, cuz people never really get it right.  Right now I don't have anything I'm really jonesing for so I'll just be asking for general stuff, DVD's, books, clothes, etc.

I like to have  a new model room built off my garage so my kids can have their own rooms. The third room is "the model room"(hallowed ground, even cats aren't allowed in) actually my kids love hanging out with me up there, they think it's cool.

A house. Thats it. If somebody buys me a house, I will be a happy boy! But since that isn't going to happen,

Books, I have a few I want.

Models, to be honest, I can't think of any I want right now!!! Sad [:(]

Some stuff for bike riding... like a spare set of rims... big rocks are hard on rims!

Money for my wedding... the heck with the wedding money, just get me a house!
