Each Month the Baton Rouge Scale Modelers meet at the USS Kidd DD661 and Loisiana Naval War Museum on the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge LA. We have been meeting there and holding modeling demos for sseveral months now, and they have been very well recieved. We have met a wide variety of people with a varying degree of interesting what we do. I must say, I have met some VERY interesting people this way!
Tomorrow ( Saturday, November 11th, US Veterans Day) we will meet as usual, but this will be no ordinary day at the Kidd. There are a multititude of speakers, reenactors, Louisiana Wall of Honor inductees and vocal history events planned for the day.
If you happen to be in Baton Rouge for the day, come by the USS Kidd downtown at the end of Government street. Frankly, you cannot miss it. Look for the Pirate of the Pacific on permanant display alongside the Museum, with the A7 and Eternal Flame alongside. We would love to see you there, and we can guarantee, you will find this to be one of the finest tributes to our Armed Forces.
