                        IPMS Region 4 John Glenn and Western Reserve model clubs held their model show last weekend, the 5th in Kirtland Ohio. I finally got the pictures from the show on-line and you can see them here.

                        I believe that is a World Jet Mustang -- basically a late model P-51 with ram jets on the wing tips. They actually did do development work on this aircraft and that model is done as a racing version. And it's not really black but dark green.

                        Sorry, I only looked at the overview page. I took a closer look now and I saw it's a scratchbuild converted Revell P51B in a very deep green color.

                        i have a Hasegawa kit that has the ram jets,,,it's very hard to research,but i did manage to find a pic of it and it did exist
