Hi Edgar,
While Kissimmee is a short hop away from Orlando, if you have transportation, you can have an enjoyable day checking out the hobby shops around here.
First, one of the best in my opinion is Colonial Photo and Hobby. An old (what looks to be an ex-movie theater) building on Mills street (just of Colonial drive) in Orlando's "Little Saigon" area. They have a large selection of kits of all kinds, including figures. They are also a full-line photo shop, RC shop and Model RR shop. There is a lot in that building.

Then over on the east side of town is Bob's Hobby Center. Been in business a long time (I see ads for it in my 1980's FSM back issues). They've recently moved into what looks like a hangar/quonset hut type building. Nice selection of kits, but mostly geared to the RC crowd these days.

Also worth a stop on Colonial on the west side of the city is Sci-Fi City. It is truly more of a gaming store, however. I think that they may have a few models left in stock. The real reason to go there is the fact that they carry a huge (and I mean HUGE) selection of books on history that we covet. Osprey, some squadron, etc. I mean about 18 *feet* of shelving of such books.

Furthest west (again on Colonial) is J&B Hobby Center. Located in a shopping plaza, J&B is reminiscent of the old mom and pop stores. They have a great selection of kits, however. Maybe not as esoteric as Colonial P&H, but their selection is deep. You can often find older kits here, plus balsa models, science education products for the kids, etc.
They have no web site. The address is 11909 East Colonial Drive.
Heading back east on Colonial (which means you will then be travelling on *west* Colonial drive) is Central Florida Hobbies. Mostly an RC shop, they do stock many new kits (and have some older ones as well). I drooled over thier holiday selection, lots of big kits. Not sure what they have in stock post holiday, however.

I think that about does it for shops in my area that cater at all to what we do. We have several stores that are RC only (something about having summer all year round makes people want to get out and RC, I guess).
Hope this helps!
