                        I love that live version off of Ummagumma. Waters has a scream on him that's unbelieveable. They also did an earlier version called Murderistic Women, but it didn't make the final cut. Smile [:)]

                        Pun intended. Final cut by the way, is my all time favorite, but I can't listen to it as often as some of the others. James, demon's right, there were lots of instrumentals back then, we'd need a bit more help. One of These Days is another possibility as well.

                        Are you refering to "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" from Ummagumma? "Interstellar Overdrive" from Piper At the Gates of Dawn? They have many, many great instrumentals from the "pre-Wall" days. Can you narrow it down a bit?

                        Whats the name of that kickass instermental that pink makes?
                        It has a fast tempo and it was on a record before the wall album.
                        (heres a hint)
                        The only lyrics is at the apex of the song near the end.

                        My musical interests are as varied as my modeling interests, running the gammut from Metallica to Mozart and everything in between. The Have a Cigar cover was from Misc. Debris. Try picking up Les Claypool and his Fearless Flying Frog Brigade Vol. 2. It's a cover of the entire Animals CD. Best of both worlds!

                        Good man! Not many people like Primus and Floyd both. They did an ep a while back that has a cover of Have a Cigar on it. I love their version of Amos Moses too. I'm glad you came up with that line out if Incredible Hot in Here Today too. The stuff that man can do on a bass, while dancing around like it's nothing at all is simply amazing. My favorites on Momentary Lapse are Sorrow and On the Turning Away. Great Music.

                        Saw them in concert up in KC a few years ago when they opened for Rush. As if you didn't know, Les Claypool is God. I have all of their albums, plus the Claypool side projects (Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, Holy Mackerel.)
                        Just remember, if you studied your Floyd properly, you'd know that pigs could fly.
                        I agree that Dark Side is overplayed. Good music, but it gets old quick. I'd rather throw in the Cure for the same effect.

                        Well, thank you all very much for the answer. I just couldn't come up with it myself despite having some Floyd in the CD rack (My opinion; The Wall runs a close second to Dark Side of the Moon).
                        Lapse of Reason will be on the Christmas list for sure.
                        I actually tossed around a couple of hours last night trying to get to sleep with those lyrics strumming around.
                        PS: I'll give a listen to Animals as well!

                        Dark Side of the Moon, was awfully good, but it's been played out for me. I never get tired of Animals. Soundtrack from the film Moore is good too though. Demon69, I have the live Wall, and Pulse, and everything else I've been able to find too. I love Pink Floyd! How do you feel about a band called Primus?

                        Actually, I prefer The Division Bell. Great, mellow music. If you get the chance or run across a copy, grab the Wall Live '80-'81, or Pulse. There's nothing like listening to Dark Side of the Moon in concert. Never was much for Ummagumma. Way too esoteric.

                        After you've listened to that until it wears out, go and pick up a copy of Animals, and you'll love that until the day you die. While you're there, pick up The Final Cut, and Ummagumma and Meddle. Wonderful music, Animals is the best album I've ever heard, can't listen to it enough.

                        The words, my friend, are from "Learning To Fly" by Pink Floyd. It was origionally released on the album "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" in 1987. Now go buy it!
