the future of Klear!
Posted by Sasarchiver on Monday, February 19, 2007 12:15 PM

On hearing that Johnsons klear/Future was being "reformulated" i decided to email johnsons to ask what the difference will be between the new klear and the old one.

This was my reply...

"Dear Mr (Beep) lol,

Thank you for your email.

We have no information available on our product Klear and any
reformulation. This is because the future of this product is
still under review.

It may be advisable to buy some reserve stock as the product will
keep for at least 2 years.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Davies"

Mmmm, so the future of klear is under review. Just thought id share the info...

I wonder if some modeling company like Micro would be interested in taking up the current formula and releasing a Modeler's Coat product?  Just simply buy the resale/formula rights.

That is an interesting idea.. Hawkeye Hobbies recently acquired SNJ......perhaps J&J would be interested ni selling the formula to a maker who would produce it in limited qty's for us. Sure beats using Glosscoat, AcrylGloss and Tamiya clearcoat.
