Sounds like fun!  Wife and kid permitting, I'll be there.

Chris,

I hope to see you next meeting on Tuesday May 29th, at the Estes Park room, 4H building at the Ranch, just off I-25.

This upcoming meeting we are having our annual auction, so bring some cash or some models to donate to the auction if you like. The collected money goes towards the club to cover expenses from model contests and such.

Models go out for cheap. You won't go bankrupt in our auction.

 See you,

Pablo

   Pablo,

Thanks for the welcome!   I will try to make a meeting, depending on the wife and kid.  I work Saturdays (in fact Sun. is my only day off), so it'll have to be Tues.

     Thanks again,

                      Chris

Hi Chris,

I'm usually don't hang out much at this forum, but I just happen to find your post. I'm sorry it took a while until someone answered  Shy [8)]

I've been a member of the HPM club for slightly over a year but I'm not an IPMS member. I'm really glad I had joined the club, as the crowd is really friendly and I've been learning a lot from all of them.

We are about 25 members, however most meetings only have 12-18 people. We get together twice a month, the last tuesday of the month at the 4H Building in The Ranch, where we have "Show and Tell" and every other month or so, a "Clinic" (ie, mini-lecture on different topics). Also we get together the second saturday of each month at the HobbyTown store at Fort Collins (build and bull session).

We are basically plastic modelers, airplanes, armor, ships and cars, but there are a few guys that are intersested in R/C as well.

Why don't you just show up at any of the meetings? Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

Pablo

Edit: I forgot to tell you the meeing times:

Last tuesday of the month:      7 pm

Second saturday of the month: Around 10 am

Tell me about your club!  Interested in finding one a little closer than Denver so the drive doesn't kill me so much.   How many members?  How many regular meeting attendees?  What activities do you do? I'm not really interested in becoming an IPMS member, just want some guys to hang out and model with.  What say you?
