Can a die cast figure be used in a model contest?

I have a metal driver figure that I have stripped, repainted and decaled.  I like to know if I could use it in a small 1/24 scale dio for a contest, or would that be considered cheating.

Diecast figures can be used. Entering a prepainted one as your own work is not, but since you stripped it and repainted it, it is OK.

Entering a die-cast figure is up to the club hosting the contest and how thier rules are structured. Baton Rouge Scale Modelers allows any kind of material for a figure, with most wargame miniatures being a single piece metal casting.

It would be best to check with the contest director or head judge of our contest in mind before using it, but I would think it would be allowed since you have repainted it.
