spending time with two nephews: Priceless!

            2 Starfix kits from a raffle                         $1

            Crawfish tray                                               $3

Simple tools and tube of glue                    $6

Getting to know two newphews               Priceless

Here are some pics my wife took this morning of my nephews building thier first models. They did the work and I kept my own hands out of thier way to let them build the model. They had so much fun and felt such a sense of accomplishment! Our total time was about an hour and a half and that included a couple of glue drying breaks.  I built a similar Starfix kit right alongside with them, and this really helped to "ground" thier experience and help them relate to what they were doing. Inexpensive Starfix kits are perfect for young hands, low parts count, but the decals (insert vacuum here) . I have been able to introduce to the world of model building  to five or six new modelers this year, and that includes two adults. I'm loving it!

That is great- I know they must've enjoyed that. It's great to see stuff like that. Good quality family time, and it's also good for the hobby!

They thoroughly enjoyed it, and guys get this, both are ADDIDCTED to all forms of video games and are rarely seen without one of thier handhelds ( or at least arguing over who gets to play it!)

Great experience!
