Nah, mine go one display with everything else...  the mongrels are right next to the purebreds.   The visitors that look at 'em wouldnt know the difference anyway.  Besides, if I binned everything that was'nt perfect, they'rd be nothing to display !

mine go into a stash labeled "waiting for my skills and patience to improve"its very small as the fellow before said "the casual observer doesn't know the difference anyway" so almost all of my stuff ends up on display.

The majority of mine go on display too. It's much easier to gauge my progress.

My biggest modeling disaster occurred when I was moving from Ft. Dix To Hanscom AFB. I set aside a box of in-progress kits that I carefully packed. I also set aside a box of paints that are flammable. I was going to hand carry these to  keep the kits safe and because the painst could not be shipped. Both boxes were clearly labeled "Do Not Pack" so the movers would not load it onto the van.

Well, the movers decided to pack them any way and since the heavy box of paints fit inside of the box with the kits, they dropped the box of paints into the box of kits, crushing everything. The made sure all was crushed when they had to press down on the paint box so the outer box could be taped shut.

They ruined about 5 models in various stages of completion. All the kits are still on hand as parts kits or spray paint practice pieces.

i once started an israeli airforce F-16A with the cool desert camo.  had it ready for decals when it and the WHOLE model vanished into thin air!!  my wife says she had nothing to do with it but i'm a little sceptical.  my daughter was about 2 years of age when i was buildin' that particular bird so..................it still stumps me.

that and the fact that i've finished about 8 or 9 models that i was very pleased with that didn't make it through 2 moves.Sad [:(]
