APC HOBBIES...WHAT HAPPENED?
Posted by SNOOPY on Thursday, October 2, 2003 11:45 AM
I know their website has been down for awhile now but I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to them. If you do a search on the Internet you still get their website address listed. I will assume that they are no longer in business, does anyone know for sure? They use to have a monthly listing of old kits they would e-mail to customers but that all of a sudden stopped without a warning they were shuting down their operation.

Heard a rumor they went out of business around the time of the 2002 IPMS Nats.

I don't know about APC but in most cases the stock is usually sold off to a company or individual who will then sell it to other resellers like hobby shop suppliers. The sad part is, a lot of stuff will get thrown in the trash. The whole joint could be resold or assimilated in one chunk. It's all probably tied up in bankruptcy court 'til somebody comes up with a way to get their money back.

APC Hobbies is now called Pace Hobbies. Charlie Pace, who used to work for APC is now the owner--or rather his wife is. He was a vendor at the Region II IPMS show in Reston, VA this past weekend.
