There is a sizable group of guys from the east coast of central florida heading up to the show in Jacksonville this month. Maybe I'll see you guys there.

Ahh, St. Mary's GA. I lived in Kingsland in 72-3 miller41. I hear the areas changed a lot since then. We moved shortly before Kings Bay was built.

miller41, Your right about the modellers. I belong to a club called Model creation unlimited. We meet at Hobby Planet on Beach Blvd and St. Johns. The meets are the 1st andf 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7pm. There is one other club out in Orange Park, they are the ones sponsoring the contest. If you want to this Saturday my club is having a make and take for kids at Hobby planet from 10-2. There will be club members there and the store has several work benchs for anyopne who wants to work on projects. I will be there so drop on by and meet a few modeller such as yourself.

I actually live in St Marys, GA, but there are precious few modelors around here that I can find. I wanted to find a club or group that met sometime on a weekend, as I work evenings, so I could learn some stuff first hand. I fiigured going to shows is the next best thingBig Smile [:D]

miller41, how you doing. I have entered several contest before. You don't have to mark your models. At the contest you will be given a slip of paper to fill out with info about your model and your name. You then place this slip of paper under your model on the display table. Where abouts in the Jacksonville area are you. I live on the North side. Drop me a line. Hope to see you there.

Marking Models for Model Shows
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, October 2, 2003 4:21 PM
Being a new modeler I have never gone to a model show. There is one in my area (Jacksonville, FL) this month and I want to enter a couple of my efforts there, just as a learning experience. What do I need to do as far as marking the models. I see that alot of people put ID tags on their models at shows. Is this mandatory? Help Big Smile [:D]
