LHS in our newspaper

The newspaper I work for did a story on one of the LHS' in my town, Hayes Hobby House. The store has been here 40 years, a family owned store. It's great being able to have such a nice LHS to go to!

Hey Jon. I wish I had such a happy tale to tell. My LHS has been closed since this past September (2006) when the owner went into a diabetic coma. He's doing well now but, not able to keep shop. He plans to open it up again, though. A buddy of mine mows and weed-eats the place for him. It's just that sad little sign on the door. You know what I mean.

LHS are a rare thing.

i knew a guy who used to own a little train shop in town who said that he could set up a hobby shop in a cornfield anywhere in the midwest and it would be successful. for some #@$%^&*!!!!  reason, here in southeast idaho, they don't seem to take off. my advise to all you guys with an lhs, don't ever take them for granted.

Yeah- he's one of my good friends. Always helpful, and he knows his stuff. It's nice to have the guy at the LHS be an avid modeler!
