I read FSM, Scale Aircraft Modeler & the Squadron releases. I get Hobby Japan, Japan Hobby and Scale Graphix when I can, but I can't read Japanese ( yet!). J-Hulk, I envy you!!

Ask for a catalog from squadron, and every month they have a decent selection of recent kits and miniatures and publications.

For a lot of it you can just monitor the various forums. It's like "six degrees of seperation" Somebody always knows somebody in the business. Like I just happened to be talking to one of the girls who works for Meteor Productions and she was able to give me a price and availiblity for the He-111 conversion - about $70.00 and availible (hopefully) this month. Dave has been working very hard on it.

Military Miniatures in Review (Ampersand Publishing) is also a good source of new and upcoming releases.

Sometimes we check websites of retailers or dealers. More often than not they are usually upto date when it comes to new releases and posts them to attract early buyers or reservations.

You can also try to check the websites of the manufacturer themselves.
