They're coming out with a P-400 and an F2G Super Corsair in racing colors in September. They also recently re-released some neat old 1/72 kits from Monogram.

They are still around. I did a show about a month a go and their booth was next to mine. I had dinner with them a few times and talked about all the new stuff coming out.

I recall they did have a going out of business sale several years ago in 2001. They were selling bagged kits, decals, bomb loads, etc. I picked up a couple of their Mustangs and SBDs as well as a torpedo for my Avenger. I remember their goodbye posting in the old RMS newsgroup.

Here is a thread announcing their return in 2003: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.models.scale/browse_thread/thread/1205f296cb678c76/26b54185bed3e5bd?lnk=gst&q=accurate+miniatures&rnum=6#26b54185bed3e5bd

centerdeck, the company is based in NC, but all the molding is done in Korea. When I requested a missing decal a couple years ago, they were deleyed in sending it to me because it was the time when the Vindicator was coming out, and they had to unload shipping containers of plastic parts and hand stuffing the boxes. I thought that was pretty interesting! But, Accurate Miniatures is in business, and from what I can see, they will be for a long time!

I realize I was out of the flow for a while, but I could have have sworn that accurate miniatures went out of business.  I really liked their kits and was actually kinda saddened by this.  After a quick google I see they have a website and from what I can tell was last updated this month.  Is this the same company as before with the same quality or did someone just buy up the name?
