Just a quick post to let everyone know that WASMEx 2007 is this weekend, September 8th & 9th
South Perth Civic Centre

The halls will be open to the public from 10 am until 5 pm both days.
Admission prices are as follows:
Adults $5.00
Child/concession $3.00
Family $12.00 (2 adults + 2 children)
The Western Australian Scale Model Expo is the state's premier scale modelling event. Incorporating the WA Scale Modelling Championships, the Expo features a public model competition, displays by local clubs and individual enthusiasts, a swap-and-sell, retail stands by major hobby shops and specialist retailers, and more. Here you will see two floors of outstanding scale model creations and display pieces as built by some of the most talented plastics modellers in the state. Hundreds of model aeroplanes, tanks, cars, ships, figures, science fiction subjects and just about anything else you can think of will be on display. It is a non-profit event run purely in the interests of furthering the hobby of scale modelling.
A large competition for scale models is held during the Expo and is open to everyone. With more than 40 categories spread over 3 age groups there is bound to be a division to suit your age, interest and choice of scale. With lots of trophies and great prizes to be won, you can't afford not to be a part of it.
A modellers' swap meet is held on the Sunday morning of the Expo. You could use this opportunity to clean out your model cupboard (to fund some new purchases!) or perhaps pick up some bargains.
