Your modeling preference?

I started the hobby with a set of 1/72 MPC Fallschirmjager that I just played with on my HO train set. Since then Ive moved the trains down a scale to N and started modelling in 1/72, armour, aircraft, modern, WW2 and in between even.

Im also interested in building up a 1/72 sci-fi collection kinda and I am currently working on a diorama, just figures though. Im big into Halo and Starship Troopers type stuff but there are no models in 1/72 in either of thos, guess Ill have to get better at scratch building

Also recently I got some Takara 1/144 tanks and a few other 1/144 plane kits off eBay. Im always moving down a scale it seems lol. The model R&R might have to move down to Z.

I build mostly WWII armor 1/35 scale with some modern armor thrown in here and there.

I will shortly be taking on modifying HO scale trains as my son's train layout moves along. Apparently, nobody builds HO engines or cars in the exact paint scheme that he wants.

No interest in boats or wingy things...cars bore me to tears, whether they be models or the real deal.

1/32, 1/48 and 1/72 Aircraft. Very, very rarely some 1/35 Armor. No boats, ships. No figures. No cars.

Well, my Primary Modeling Preferences are:

-> 1/72 scale Armor and Aircraft

-> 1/600 scale Ships.

However, I build just about any scale commercial ship as long as it looks good. When it's a warship, I get specific:

-> Cruisers, destroyers, submarines, light fleet carriers, patrol boats and 'phibs in 1/700 scale.

-> Battleships and full-sized carriers in 1/500 to 1/600 scale. 

I also build all eras too, I have no primary preference there.

My other primary preferences in Sci-Fi are anything from favorite TV shows or movies.

Preference for Cars, anything from Tom Daniel's, the 1930's or older, including European designs. Followed by show cars from TV and the movies, and the '57 Chevy. 

I like to build aircraft, armour and ships but I stick almost exclusively to WWII  era and 1/72 scale.  Why?  I don't really know, it just kind of ended up that way.  I guess I like comparing things in the same scale and having a focus helps to limit that "GOTTA HAVE IT" syndrome which is really important when you're on a budget!  

I have built quite a few 1/700 scale ships in the past (no room for a 1/72 scale Essex carrier in the basement - though I know it's been done ) and my son has me helping out with his warhammer stuff.

Used to be primarily WWII aircraft, but lately I've been getting into the Korean War era jets - I've grown to like the old, straight wing, machine-gun/cannon armed jets.  My most recently completed models are:

Trumpeter 1/48 F9f Panther

Academy 1/48 T-33 Shooting Star

Tamiya 1/48 F-84 Thunderjet

I'll do almost anything: Air, land or sea. Irish or Greek a plus.

However, there are still restrictions. I won't do anything before about the 1970s, and I will try to avoid anything American. I figure enough other people are doing Tigers, Shermans and Abrams.

Though I have built most everything, I have settled on WW II armor as my primary modeling. I do have a few 1/48 Japanese fighters in the stash that may never get finished. LOL

Real Space models

TV/Movie models- Mostly Scf-fi and Horror. Some cars, Dukes, A-Team, Hillbillies, Kit, etc

Historic- Titanic, White House, Viking ship, Old ironsides, etc

I've probably got a little of everything. 1/72 and 1/48 Aircraft. Mostly WWII but a few preWWII and a smattering of jets. 1/35 armor again mostly WWII. 1/24, 1/25 cars, not much on the bowties and blue ovals but ya gotta love the old mopars. A few NASCARS and a semi truck or two. Ships, well almost all are 1/350 scale except a couple of schnellboots. More odd ball stuff like 40K and regular warhammer. But I suppose my all time favorite is.... maybe... I reckon.. I just don't know! Heck I like em all !!! If I really had to choose it would depend on what I was working on at the time. Right now it's a 1970 Dodge (what else ) challenger. 2 weeks ago it was a Dewoitine 520 with a resin pit with PE. Next month it looks like it might be my USS Indy. Who knows? Guess I'm not very focused. Sorry for the cop out.

I love WWII aircraft, especially the Spitfire, P-40, and oh yeah, the Spitfire.

Even when I was a kid in the 70's and 80's building kits, I really preferred WWII aircraft. I'd build other stuff, but if I spent my money, I went right for those.

I guess it shouldn't surprise me. the vast majority of the books I have- even ones from my childhood- are about WWII aircraft, pilots and so forth.

For me it would have to be 1/35 Helos, 1/35 Vietnam Subjects and 1/35 WWII Armour, also i have Been known to put together a few 1/48 WWII Bombers both U.S and German.

The way the kits are today how could ya resist not buying one of everything??

One thing I don't build is cars/truck models unless it's OD green, mounts a .50 cal and says USMC on the bumper. I enjoy building aircraft most of all but also armor and ship models and, I just ordered the 1/350 carrier 'Triconderoga' from E-hobbies so my ship collection is starting to add up a little bit.

I use to work in only 1/48th scale and some 1/72nd aircraft but now I must have about 15 plus 1/32nd planes and several in 1/24th scale. But it all comes down to that I love this hobby

1. 1/24 & 1/25 Cars, mostly Classic Muscle Cars
2. 1/48 & 1/32 WWII to Korea Aircraft
   
3. 1/48 & 1/35 Armor, mostly WWII, but it's all good.

I haven't got into doing ships yet. Probably because I would feel silly pushing the model across the table top while singing "Anchors Aweigh" at the top of my lungs. Totally uncool, as opposed to zooming my cars around, or strafing the armor with my P-47.

While I marvel at what people do with figures, I haven't even tried. I'm totally intimidated by the painting skill required!

I just bought my 1st 1/35 armor kit...dragon's new king tiger

My preferences are WWII aircraft, sci-fi and modern military aircraft, in that order.

Right now, my stash is a half-@$$(embled) P-47, an F4U-4, a P-61, a Fine Molds X-Wing and a studio scale X-Wing.

I just haven't found a modern aircraft that really tickles my fancy as of yet.  I was a bigtime F-4 fan when I was younger, but it seems like everyone is building them nowadays.  So, I'm just looking for something a little more off the beaten path.
