Baton Rouge Scale Modelers presents Cajun Modelfest XXIII to held on April 12 2008. This year our theme is "Jolly Roger" and includes anything that can sport a skull and crossbones.....now that is pretty wide open if you think about it!
April 11 1945 saw the USS Kidd hit my a Japanese Kamikaze aircraft, killing 38 and seriously wounding an additional 55. Each April 11 (which is Friday) the USS Kidd and Louisiana Veterans Memorial hold a special commemorative event, and we will hold our show on the day after. Plenty of veterans, tin can sailors, media and the like shall be on hand.

Please make your reservations now for best rates. Junior and PreTeen entries are now FREE OF CHARGE and each will receive a special thank you gift from Baton Rouge Scale Modelers. There is no limit to the number of entries a Junior or Preteen may enter. Adult entry fee is ten dollars, and this also covers your Museum entry fee. The fee covers the first adult model, each additional model is $1 for adults.
Sponsorships for the event are available at $25 each to help defray event costs. Vendor tables are available (6' tables) for $15 each. Raffle tickets for perhaps THE biggest raffle in the South are $1 each. Come spend the day with us in Baton Rouge. If you have not attended before, this is a smaller community-style show where we put the focus on fun....and YES we FEED our judges!!!!!!
