Does anyone else do this???
Posted by bostonbruins34 on Saturday, January 12, 2008 8:45 AM

I remember when I did models a LONG time ago. I did a bunch of cars and would sometimes get bored with the finish. More than a few times I would mask up the car and give it a new paintjob as long as no decals were involved.

Here's what I'm doing right now  http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=201700894&albumID=1075526&imageID=11741292

I threw a  quicky coat on the hood and forgot the primer but it gives a good idea what color it is...Boyd's "Black and Blue Pearl"

Sorry I couldn't get the picture to post directly...I'll have to figure out why later.

Cool idea.

You can't link directly with MySpace, and you have to have a MySpace account to access your page. Try signing up with Photobucket, it's free, and you can link to images directly.

So long folks!

I just realized that post may have sounded a bit cryptic...I guess the question was about repainting old finished projects and the case in point is the Dodge Daytona I originally had painted red and am in the process of painting blue/black pearl. Does anyone else do things like this??

Been a few weeks. Here's a few more after starting to dry fit. Still need to clean up the window and window trim, add the exterior items and assemble the tail/front ends. Also getting ready to add a white stripe on the wing...

Nice re-do! I'd leave the stipe myself. Adds a touch of 'wow' to it.

edit* Oh yea, almost forgot - GO 'NUCKS Big Smile [:D]
