No, afraid I haven't. Not much time or money to do any traveling. But I have seen pictures and it looks awesome. Actually about 20 minutes outside Providence in Fall River, MA we also have Battleship Cove consisting of the battleship Massachusetts, submarine Lionfish, destroyer Joseph P Kennedy, some PT boats, etc., another great vacation spot, but once again no modelling in this area that I know about.

To littlemoe: www.saratogamuseum.org The Russian sub is a JULIET class guided missile sub (non-nuc)and its part of this major project in conjunction with the SARATOGA. Too long to go into on this post. The organizers have done a beautiful job with her. It would be about a 4 hour drive for you. This is also part of the Quonset Point air museum which you could visit in the same day. And for good measure you could take a detour off I-95 and visit the Nautilus museum in Groton, CT. That alone is worth the drive from PA (Its also FREE). The JULIET and air museum charge a small fee. Explore the link, there are lots of JULIET pictures. It's been very popular. Its' up to you if it's worth it. Oh, sorry the sub is in Providence, RI and is very easy to get to. Did I mention we have a major air show @ Quonset Point every summer, too.

Oh yeah, Rhode Island is the worst for that sort of thing. Nothing like this goes on here that I can tell. And this is an area that has an aviation museum, a russian submarine museum, they're trying to turn the SARATOGA into a museum, numerous defense contractors, the naval war college, et al. But no modeling sort of thing. Just an overabundance of donut shops......mmmmm, donuts! (Homer Simpson would love it here)

monsterarmor,
While I can't help you with additional shows in your area, I just wanted to let you know (in case you didn't know already), the IPMS Nationals are going to be held in Atlanta in 2005. I was there during the Nats in 1993 and had a great time. I'm already looking forward to '05!

And that's my 500th post.

Why are all the neat model shows everywhere except here? Im always seeing really cool shows advertise in California, Illinois, and every other stay thats far away from mine, (Georgia). How many big shows can one state have? Its really disappointing. The closest state that usually has shows is Florida. We have one big show, the anual IPMS show, or the Military Figure Show once ayear. But Im always looking in the back of FSM at the Upcoming Events and rarely do I see Georgia in this list. Other states though have something it seems every month! Does anyone else find this frustrating, or disappointing?
"Hey big guys that matter in scheduling shows! We want more here in the south!" Just incase anyones listening.
