Digital Camera Tripod
Posted by 2/20 Bluemax on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 4:52 PM

FYI-I was in the Dollar Tree today with the wife and found a digital camera tripod for, guess what, a dollar! Plastic adjustable length legs, tilting head, looks like it will work perfect. Hard to get by "made in china", though.

Chances are the mouse you're scrolling with, the monitor you're reading this on, the camera you'll be attaching to the tripoid and the computer on which you'll be saving he pictures were all made in China.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

When I think about buying an El Cheapo tool, I ask myself - Am I going to use this thing on a very regular basis (every day or two in otherwords), or am I going to only use it occasionally or even just once.  If it's the former, then I bite the bullet and spend the bucks to buy a good expensive one.  If it's the latter, then I go with the El Cheapo (of course it doesn't always work that way - I've got a fabric tester in my tool box - $498 and it gets used an average of once a year, but the regs state I have to have it in order to be legal - really chaps my b*tt).

I know what you're saying, Quincy, I usually try to buy the best I can afford in tools and I preach this as well. But-I don't do a lot close up photography, in fact all I'm doing is just recording my work for future ref. I just happened to walk by the tripod display in the Dollar Tree, and what the heck, for a buck I'll give it a try. If it breaks after being used a few times, no big deal, I'll get a better one.
