Yes and no.  I enter contests for fun and to just hang out with fellow modelers and BS for the day.  :D  I tend to FINALLY get that last little detail painted or completed a couple weeks before show time.

That's great, you guys make me laughLaugh [(-D]! I love the smart Censored [censored] remarks!

BTW, the base I made that I finished at 2:00 AM Saturday helped the Stegasaurus win 3rd in the Misc. category. Not too bad for a rushed job.

Maybe I'll have answer tomorrow.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?

I'm the worst. Dishes pile up, I run out of clean clothes. I just dusted today for the first time and I've lived here six months.

I don't enter contests but how quickly I build depends on my interest in the subject. The more I like it the faster I go.

Very nice comparison Gerald Laugh [(-D] ...Procrastination for me is usually saying I'll go to the LHS and get the paints I need to start the next model, but somehow I never get around to it until the next weekend...or the next one.  I never rush my builds contest or no contest, because if I do the end result looks like crap.

I never build for a show and refuse to rush myself to finish something for a show. If it's not ready, there's the next one.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Well, Im not entirely sure how many people here enter contests, but I enter 1 or 2 kits each year at my club's contest, mainly for fun.

I am developing a (bad?) habit of waiting until almost the last minute to finish--or somtimes start-- a build for the show. For instance, it is Friday at midnight, the contest is tomorrow morning, and at 7pm today I began a display base for a dinosaur that I'm entering. Last year I started a car one week before the contest and finished it the night before.

Honestly I kind of enjoy working under the "pressure". I seem to think less about the how, what, why and instead just build and paint. I did the same thing through high school and college; it seemed like I was pulling all nighters once or twice a semester.

Does anyone else do this, or am I as wierd as my wife insists I am?
