Hey everyone the other while at work I was thinking of some future builds that I wanted to do and came with an idea to honor those who served in WWII. However, after thinking about I realized that to do it properly that I would have to build two models one from each theater. My question to you all is What would you say is the most recognizable piece of equipment from each theater. My thoughts on it so far is U.S.S Missouri from the Pacific theater and maybe the B-17 from the European theater. I just wanted to ask other who are a lot more knowledgeable about that war than I am.
I feel that it would be cool when it's done providing I can do it right and get what's in my head onto the plastic. It's going to be a dio of a sorts but the paints schemes aren't going to be traditional, my goal is to make them look like a mural of the major milestones of each theater, i.e Iwo Jima would be one I use and so would D-Day. Obviously I would need a lot of work space that's why I was thinking of may be Big Mo but I don't know of any well known ships from the Euro theater.
Well I've babbled long enough. I can't wait to get as much input as possible from you all, and get the build under way.
