To model a Vietnam gun truck, Joseph converted Academy's 1/72 scale M35 2 1/2-ton truck, adding sheet-styrene armor plates to the cargo bed and cab. Joseph pilfered the Quad .50-caliber machine gun from Revell's 1/76 scale M16 halftrack.
