To remodel my hobby room last spring, I tore out an HOn3 scale model railroad that I'd been building for many years and installed a new floor and office carpet. If you look at my workbench, you'll see the legs are modified from the layout.

I've set up the left side of the bench to mix paint, paint, and apply decals. The spray booth works rather well in the middle of the bench; I've vented it out the wall. The right side of the bench is where I build. There is a three-drawer toolbox behind the spray booth where I keep the items I don't use on a daily basis. The L shape's helped me maximize space.

My 13-year-old son also uses the workbench for model building.
