Mr. Moores writes: "The model is of an Fw 190A-5 flown by Leopold Wenger on 'hit and run' raids on the south coast of England in the spring and early summer of 1943. The Fw 190s flew close to my house during a raid on Bournemouth that spring. I used the Eduard 'weekend' 1/48 scale kit and added Eduard and Big Ed prepainted photoetched-metal parts."
