Tamiya’s 1/48 scale F4F-3
was the starting point for Christian’s first conversion as he changed the
Wildcat to a British Fleet Air Arm Martlet II. He used Eduard and True Details
accessories, Aeromaster decals, and Tamiya acrylics, then weathered the plane
with tempera and oil paints, Tamiya smoke, and Mig pigments. Christian says he
was inspired by a Glen Phillips article in the Sept. 1998 FSM.
