Using Arba’s 1/48 scale resin kit, Shawn modeled a
Focke-Wulf Ta 283, an unbuilt WWII German design. After a rocket-assisted
takeoff, the aircraft would have been powered by two Pabst ramjets. “The kit is a
real tailsitter,” says Shawn, who hollowed out the twin engines and added lots
of weight to the nose.
