John jazzed up MPC’s 1/32 scale TIE X-1 fighter with a seat
from a Jeep Cherokee “dressed up with bits of plastic and a few greebles from
the parts box,” he says. He varied panels by pre-shading with flat black and
postshading with Tamiya sky gray but avoided weathering. “Imperial hardware is
generally more well-maintained than that of the Rebel forces,” he explains.
