“Both my father and my stepfather worked for Pan
American, so this model had a lot of meaning for me,” says Andrew of
Minicraft’s 1/72 scale Boeing 377. He rescribed panel lines, adding a few that
were missing; boxed in the wheel wells and added ribbing with sheet styrene;
opened the intakes; and topped off the Stratocruiser with steel-wire antennas.
Alclad II polished aluminum paint and Pledge Future floor polish provide the
natural metal finish. The Pan Am decals are from Atlantic Models.
