L.M. Goldstein
Riverside, California
Say, this guy rings a bell! Mr. Goldstein didn’t like the
base that came with Polar Lights’ 1/8 scale Hunchback of Notre Dame, so he
scratchbuilt the circular platform and base from aged plywood. “The cross beams
are balsa wood held together by dowels, also scratched to look authentic,” he
says. He made stairs from plaster of Paris and painted them to look like stone.
“I also was not happy with the plastic rope and rings,” he says. He found what
he wanted in the dollhouse aisle of his hobby shop.
