Fernando says, “This A-10 shows a special scheme that was developed for use in the Persian Gulf but never saw combat.” He added avionics, an ejection seat, instrument panels, and several resin and photoetched-metal parts to detail the cockpit. After painting with Testors enamels, he weathered with India ink, pastel chalks, and artist’s oils. “The A-10 is one of my favorites. There was the internal challenge between members of our local model club, but I was also inspired by its appearance in the Transformers movie.
