“AH-6G/MH-6H Little Bird prototype,” says Steve. “This aircraft was the first to receive the enlarged rotor head and 530FF engine. It was flown in both configurations. Hence, the weird designation.” Of the model, Steve says, “This was an easy conversion using the Dragon 1/35 scale MD500 Defender kit. I added all the instrument wiring and photoetched-metal radio control heads to the center console. All the antennas and mounts are scratchbuilt using sheet styrene, as well as the APR-39 antennas on the front of the fuselage. This model took first place at SoonerCon 2010 in Moore, Okla., hosted by the IPMS Metro/OKC club.”
