“This is the old Airfix 1/600 scale kit of HMS Iron Duke. I replaced the decking with scribed styrene;
modified the height of the forward superstructure; and added some homemade
photoetched-metal antennae. The flag signal is Admiral Jellicoe’s iconic ‘Equal
Speed Charlie London.’ This was the signal at Jutland for the Grand Fleet to
move from a series of columns to a single line-ahead formation.”
