Williams Brothers 1/72 scale Martin B-10

Jeff Collins
Charlotte, North Carolina

Here’s one you don’t see every day — Jeff built the Williams Brothers 1/72 scale Martin B-10 bomber. For a short time in the 1930s the B-10 was considered a state-of-the-art aircraft, but the Boeing B-17 and Douglas B-18 quickly passed it up.

One of my favorite bombers. And the paint scheme is one that keeps calling out to me. I wanted to try it on a Dauntless. But I really like seeing it on this subject.

I have had this kit in the closet for like 10yrs and keep meaning to build it. I love this scheme. Nice work.!

Not very often to see a model of the plane. Did an outstanding job!

The hardest part of building that model was appplying the decals since they were quite old and had a tendency to split into many small pieces after being placed in water. I then used Elmers glue to get them to adhere to the model.

I love that plane and kit, and you did an excellent job. How did you make the wing indicators?

for Banshee1000 - if you go to my website..www.jeffscalemodels.com you'll see how I built the model with a specific section on how the I created the wing indicators (called pitot tubes) which was quite a challenge. Thanks for asking!
