“I build World War I aircraft, World War II armor, and World War III hot rods,” Jim says. “I grafted a Viper roof onto this 1/25 scale AMT 1957 Chrysler 300. Then the model languished for years as a paint test body until I got the idea for the 4/2 wheel layout. That gave me the inspiration to finish. The .50-caliber and 20mm guns are resin castings of guns from Airfix’s 1/24th scale P-51 and Bf 109, respectively. The paint practice paid off, once I stripped off all the psychedelic layers — best paint I’ve put on a car yet!”
