Shakopee, Minnesota

Privateer Press’ 32mm Heavy Warjack Devastator was the starting point for Scott. He says, “Devastator is a steam-powered robot that is heavily armored to wade into the thick of the fighting and unleash a barrage of grenades.” He added snow and gravel to the base and painted with Vallejo and Reaper acrylics. “Wargame models are painted the same across an entire army,” he says, “but I vary my schemes for fun. With all its gold filigree, I imagine the Devastator has been painted in a special ceremonial scheme for a large propaganda parade. While these figures are specifically painted for wargames, I find myself being drawn deeper into the world of scale modeling and figure painting.”
