Ian built Revell Germany’s 1/72 scale B-17G as A Bit o’ Lace from the 447th BG using Kits at War and Techmod decals. “I had to build this kit in these markings after seeing the excellent box art of the old Airfix kit,” Ian says. “Also, there are great color photographs available, and an evocative video on YouTube to watch.” The design was drawn by cartoonist Milt Caniff, famous for his “Terry and the Pirates” and “Steve Canyon” comic strips.
